A real person in Himachal checks your request and confirms the dates and the property's own current rate directly with the owner.
We reply within a few hours with the real, all-in cost. Nothing is charged until the property has confirmed your stay.
Independently-owned camps, homestays and hotels we're bringing onto Frost&co — each with its own page of rooms, indicative rates, amenities, a map and what's nearby. We don't run them; we confirm each one's availability and its own current rate with the owner when you enquire. Rates shown are indicative and confirmed on request — we never mark up.

Beyond our hand-checked listings, we're mapping every camp, homestay and hotel in the two valleys — Keylong and Jispa through to Kaza, Tabo and Kibber — each with its live Google rating. We confirm rooms and rates with the owner when you enquire.
Places with a handful of tents or rooms — never resorts.
Owned and run by Lahauli families and operators, on the ground.
We quote the property's own rate. What you save, the owner keeps.
We speak to every owner before we list them, and listen to guests.
Most Lahaul camps open once the Atal Tunnel keeps the road clear — roughly May to October. July and August are green and warm; September gives the clearest skies and cold nights. Lower stays near the tunnel (Koksar, Sissu, Keylong) run longer; the high road past Jispa to Darcha shuts in deep winter.
There's no live feed for these mountain roads. Below is each route's typical season — always confirm the day's status with the official sources before you set off.
Atal Tunnel · Sissu · Keylong · Jispa

Koksar, Sissu, Gondhla, Tandi, Keylong, Jispa and Darcha sit along the Manali–Leh highway, threaded together by the road you'd take anyway over the Atal Tunnel. Most guests string two or three into one trip.
We're a small team based in Manali. We kept being asked the same thing — where to stay in Lahaul, and how to reach the good camps and homestays that aren't plastered across every booking app.
So we started Frost&co: a hand-checked list of independently-run camps, homestays and hotels across the valley, each written up in honest detail. We don't own them. We talk to the owners, confirm your dates and the property's own rate, and pass on as much of what you pay as we honestly can.
If you write to us, a real person writes back — usually within a few hours. We almost always find you a bed.

A short note when a new camp, homestay or hotel joins the list, a photograph or two, and the dates we have honestly kept aside. Nothing else.
Send us your dates, even if they're loose. We'll reply with the stays that are genuinely free, their real rates, and an honest word on the weather and the road.
